Thanks For The Memories Roddy

Edwina Mullins and Padraig Lee minding the bar!

The final curtain on Roddy Doyle's "War" fell in the Town Hall Galway on Saturday night April 6th 2013. DADS may not have made it to Rossmore for the All Ireland finals but what a roller coaster we had with this hilarious play. Early disappointments were followed by 3rd placing in Castleblaney, a well deserved 2nd place in Roscommon, another 2nd in Charleville and a tremendous win in Glenamaddy.  In every venue, the play was a hit with the most discerning of audiences. "War" proved to be a very difficult play to stage but as the cast settled into it over the weeks of competition, they really rose to the challenge, culminating in two tremendous nights in The Town Hall Theatre Galway where they performed at the top of their game to two large and appreciative audiences. Clearly the future of drama in Dunmore is in good hands.

Although disappointed at missing out on qualification, this excellent cast really enjoyed the experience and we all leave "War" with some wonderful memories.
